Why U.S. Education Is Now Obsolete And Will Collapse
The current system of U.S. Education is now obsolete, and this has nothing to do with Covid. The pandemic simply has magnified this obsolescence. The reason is due to a profound three-part paradigm on memorization, creativity and the mind:
For thousands of years, systems of education were set up to provide students an opportunity to memorize information that was not easily or publicly accessible. This was needed because memorizing information was the only way humans could carry and disseminate knowledge. In turn, that memorized information was always creatively used for the objectives of survival and success. But in our modern age, information has become a free commodity and can be accessed anywhere from computer servers through the Internet. Therefore, memorizing information to just regurgitate on tests no longer has value in a system of education. Einstein understood this almost a century ago when he noted: “Never memorize something that you can look up.”
Even a schoolteacher from back then, with relatively minor adjustments, would feel right at home within the modern physical or virtual classroom. Other than replacing books with tablets, there has been little system advancement. In the modern classroom, the true value of education should reside solely in how a student’s mind can be engaged to creatively search for current information, assimilate it and then transform it into new information. The new information developed can be in the form of conceptual or physical end products. Then only the level and speed of this process should be graded. This type of creativity driven system will teach students the relevant skills needed for future survival and success.
Since creativity must be engaged to learn relevant skills, means creativity itself needs to be incontrovertibly defined as a process. This is because the concept of creativity is currently subjective and means something different to everyone. As a foundation for this definition, creativity must be first compared to AI (Artificial Intelligence), which is constantly mislabeled as creative. This is because within set environments, AI is already better than humans at:
1. Abstract and coordinated tasks.
2. Analysis and diagnosis.
3. Designing images and structures.
In the future, AI will become even further advanced as it’s combined within a triad of technology including big data and quantum computing in cloud-based applications. These Triad Apps will quickly scale around the world and be geared to, and replace humans in, all STEM fields, many business functions and be the centralized brain for agile robotics. This makes the current and especially future AI look like it’s functioning with creativity, because the results of those types of functions are the same as what humans currently label as creativity in themselves. But this is incorrect because humans have attributes of intuition, emotion and divergent thought, that are required for creativity while AI is comprised only of algorithm coding. This just means that many of the functions humans currently do should be re-labeled as exploration, experimentation, strategic thinking, amusement etc., but not as functions of creativity.
Now that we have defined what creativity is not, we can define what it is as a process. Creativity requires the individual to:
1. Develop new ideas through questions.
2. Strategically connect those new ideas to the current environment.
3. Improvise ideas and strategies to function effectively in an environment that is continuously changing.
So the short definition of creativity would be:
The act of an individual developing new ideas, while strategically connecting them and functioning effectively, within a continuously changing environment.
This is the intense process that all artists are constantly pushing themselves to go through in order to avoid becoming obsolete. As Einstein noted: “The greatest scientists are always artists as well." But achieving the ability of being creative like an artist will not just be needed for science, it will be required for all STEM fields where technology is continuously advancing. In the future, individuals who develop creativity will be able to use all advancing technology as tools and the individuals who don’t have creativity will be replaced by that same technology.
Through history, the greatest artists in every field were what we now label as breakthrough innovators. They developed new information in the form of new concepts and products. Within the process of creativity, innovators not only develop new information but also discover it. The breakthrough innovators were aware of their intelligence using their own personal life experience knowledge-base of information and also discovering a knowledge-base of information outside of their own. That is why Einstein noted: “The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap of consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, the solution comes to you…”. Johannes Brahms noticed this as well: "Straightaway the ideas flow in upon me....they are clothed in the right forms, harmonics, and orchestration." Same process happened to Nikola Tesla when he suddenly screamed out to his friend about the alternate current motor that appeared in complete form to him for the very first time: “Can’t you see it right here in front of me...... See how the magnetic field rotates and drags the armature around with it. Isn’t it beautiful!"
Current Neuroscience does not understand and cannot explain this process because their model guesses that the mind emerges from the brain. This is a completely wrong brain/mind model because it’s based on flawed analysis of MRI brain scans. This flawed analysis was confirmed by Duke University researchers who just finished an extensive brain activity study where they concluded that every past MRI analysis done has been wrong: "..65 subjects were asked to do the same tasks months apart. They found that of seven measures of brain function, none had consistent readings….MRI's are not measuring brain activity directly but blood flow to the brain.." So in order to put Neuroscience back on track, a new breakthrough model of the brain/mind dynamic will be explained in scientific terms.
In computer terminology; the brain is like an adaptive biological motherboard while the mind is the operating-system/software that runs and re-wires the brain. The mind is comprised of multiple components of Self, Intuition, Emotion and multiple divergent Intelligence components we identify as 'thoughts'. The principal component is the dynamic agent that humans perceive and identify them Self to be. The Self attains a cognitive state of Self-awareness, thereby attaining curiosity to ask questions, for the very reason that the Self is individuated (not separate) from the other mind components. Essentially, the body is like a physical avatar that exists to move the brain, which exists to harbor the mind. This is a designed condition that enables minds to be interactive.
The physics behind this brain/mind model can be explained through a brief dive into quantum field mechanics. The quantum field is comprised of dynamic vibration planewaves, which are comprised of synthesized intelligence, which at the core is comprised of synthesized information. The planewaves are able to individuate themselves into localized wave packet clumps of relativity, currently identified as particles. This mechanism is defined as quantization. The quantized particles are what comprise all of matter, which then behaves like interactive building-blocks structuring our cosmos. So the matter that comprises our brain cells is just an individuated and interactive component created from the quantum field. In turn, the mind is an individuated and interactive component developed within the quantum field. Because both matter and mind are derived from the quantum field, is the reason they can interact. That’s why Einstein noted: “There is no place in this new kind of physics both for the (quantum) field and matter, for the field is the only reality.”
Within this reality, information already exists in the quantum field available to be accessed. That means millions of future years of information in the form math, physics, science, technology and arts can be discovered and developed by the mind in new ways. (As an example, information in the form of math and physics has to be discovered because it reveals how the physical phenomena is already structured.) This process results in the mind continuously producing new information, which is then synthesized back into the quantum field. This is a designed condition which is continuously increasing the complexity of the quantum field because information is never lost. That is why Leonard Susskind, one of today’s preeminent physicists, noted: “Information is never lost…The whole structure of everything we know about physics would break down and disintegrate if even you open the door a tiny little bit for the idea of information to be lost.”
From this profound paradigm, the direct take-away that applies to a system of education can be summarized in three points:
1. All discovered information exists right now in computer servers and can be accessed through the Internet.
2. All undiscovered information exists right now in the quantum field and can be accessed through the mind.
3. The only value information has, is in how creatively it is accessed from the personal and quantum knowledge-base for the purpose of developing new information.
When considering how inadequate the current U.S. Education system is to teach students the necessary skill sets for survival and success within this reality, it becomes clear why U.S. Education is obsolete. Until now this fact just has not been exposed yet. In the near future, Triad Apps will start replacing millions of professionals, many with decades of work experience and college degrees, that do not have skills for creativity. At that point, students and their parents will quickly recognize the obsolescence of U.S. Education and abandon it. This will initiate the collapse of U.S. Education at a brutally fast pace.
To successfully propel U.S. Education into the 21st century and beyond will require it to be restructured into a Project Based Learning system that is scalable and sustainable. In order for this objective to be realized, three initiatives need to be launched and implemented. Each initiative has its own website with complete documentation of the concept. 1. Elevate music programs to being the most important curriculum. Because playing an acoustic instrument is the most powerful stimulant for creativity there is. In the future, playing an instrument will be viewed as a required cognitive workout in order to be successful in business and science. 2. Integrate the ITP, which stands for Innovative Thinking Process, within all non-music curriculum. The ITP is based on the disciplines of ideation, meditation and stoicism. It is a demanding mental and writing exercise that creatively uses thought experiments to develop Idea Models. This is the reason breakthrough innovators succeed, because of their natural skill to develop Idea Models that have the capability to project future disruptive concepts that cannot yet be experienced directly. 3. Launch LED accelerator, a dual system within secondary education that will develop gifted students to become breakthrough innovators as adults. Additionally, the advanced student-led outcomes from LED accelerator will provide internally generated evidence-based data on what aspects can be continually implemented within the overall curriculum of U.S. Education, the parent organization. This would empower U.S. Education to continually innovate and develop students with knowledge and skills that will proactively meet society’s advancing economic and military needs. These three initiatives will go beyond just restructuring U.S. Education to become relevant and successful. They will transform U.S. Education into being the most potent and energizing system in history for the advancement humanity.
